If you choose to circulate these slides to your members in your state, please acknowledge the National Head Start Association as the source of this information.

 EARLY EDUCATOR CERTIFICATION PROGRAM

The NC Institute for Early Childhood Professional Development has developed a system for professional recognition in the early childhood field. Early Educator Certification (EEC) is acknowledgement of an individual's verified level of educational achievement based on a standardized scale. Education is the basis for EEC. Education is coursework taken at regionally accredited colleges and universities. For more information on the EEC program and why it is important for staff development and the early childhood field, click HERE.
