Hotel Information:

Conference Hotel -- Raleigh Marriott City Center: The rate at the Marriott is $139 plus taxes. The deadline for room reservations is February 7, 2011. To make your reservations call (919) 833-1120 or click HERE. Those staying at the Marriott may park for free using valet parking. Internet for NCHSA guests is complimentary. Remember to tell them you are attending the NORTH CAROLINA HEAD START ASSOCIATION conference to get this special group rate!

Overflow Hotel -- Sheraton Raleigh Hotel: The rate at the Sheraton is $140 plus taxes. The deadline for room reservations is February 8, 2011. To make your reservations HERE. Those staying at the Sheraton may park in the Sheraton self-park garage for a reduced rate of $8 per night. Internet for NCHSA guests is complimentary. Remember to tell them you are attending the NORTH CAROLINA HEAD START ASSOCIATION conference to get this special group rate!

    • AWARDS and SCHOLARSHIPS:

    PARENT OF THE YEAR

    For exceptional parents/guardians of currently enrolled (2009-2010) Head Start or Early Head Start children.

     

     

    TEACHER OF THE YEAR

    For exceptional Head Start or Early Head Start Teachers that have been employed in their position for at least three (3) years and currently have at least a CDA.

     

     

    FAMILY ADVOCATE OF THE YEAR

    For exceptional Head Start or Early Head Start Family Advocates or Family Service Workers that have been employed in their position for at least three (3) years and currently have at least a high school diploma.

     

     

    ALUMNI RECOGNITION

    For Head Start Alumni of NC Head Start Programs.

     

     

    SPECIAL RECOGNITION

    For an individual or organization that has contributed greatly to their local Head Start Program (ONE per Head Start Program)

     

     

     ***Note: Awards applications above require applicant's program to have a current NCHSA Program Membership, and applicants to have a current NCHSA Individual Membership.***

     

    SCHOLARSHIPS

    For Head Start graduates who are currently seniors in high school and planning to attend a college or university during the 2011-2012 school year.
